David has been with Agri Business Consulting Group since its establishment in 2009 and was previously with the Agricultural Loss Management Group for 8 years. He has been in the industry for over 23 years and has played an important role in the development and ongoing success of Agri Business Consulting Group. In mid-2023 David in partnership with Calem acquired management of the Agri Business Consulting Group with a focus on further enhancing the reputation of the Company as a leader in its field.

Based in our head office located at Dubbo, David manages a sizable portfolio of seasonal regional claims, focusing predominately on our NSW consulting network. David is also frequently called upon to apply his extensive agronomic knowledge and experience to the resolution of Liability claims and has also been extensively involved in Forestry matters.  

Having come from a lifetime involvement in agriculture, beginning at the family farm and extending through to managing a corporate cotton farm, David understands the issues associated with the production of crops and the agronomic implications that arise with dealing with loss adjustments. David, in his spare time, continues to manage the family’s beef property which also incorporates small areas of cropping.


Calem Hoffmann Director

Calem started with Agri Business Consulting Group in 2011 as a trainee agronomist and in 2014 graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Ag Science, majoring in Rural Management. Calem, during his initial years with the Group spent a considerable amount of time working as a consulting agronomist alongside Chesterfield Consulting, Lindeman & Associates and Reid Rural Solutions. Calem was also engaged by Botanical Resources Australia as a consultant in 2015 to assist with the production of Pyrethrum in Ballarat, Victoria.  

Calem, who is a member of the Ag Institute of Australia (MAIA), operates from our Geelong satellite office with a particular focus on our consulting network in VIC, SA & WA. Calem’s interest in agriculture began at an early age through his involvement in the family run livestock property situated in North Queensland and has since further developed through his extensive exposure to a range of agri business enterprises.  He’s particularly motivated by developments in technology and has assumed Group responsibility for critical strategic partnerships established with various providers in developing tools specifically for crop loss adjusting purposes.


Kimberly McIntosh Ag Consultant

After working with ABCG for 2 seasons as an independent consultant, Kimberly was invited to join the Group on a permanent basis in 2022, initially establishing a satellite office in Armidale. In June 2023, Kimberly relocated to Toowoomba and has since established a satellite office to oversee and assist our QLD and NSW consulting network servicing predominately broadacre and cotton. Kimberly also works alongside one of our most experienced agronomists in Gary Chesterfield to assist in further developing her agronomic skillset.

Kimberly graduated from the Marcus Oldham College, Geelong in 2005 and comes from a farming background. She was, for a number of years, Station Manager on the family’s beef and mixed cropping property, before taking on the role of Pastoral Development Officer with the Central Land Council. In this role, she was responsible for providing technical and management advice to traditional owners and operators of pastoral enterprises, with a view to maximising productivity and sustainability.


Brent Demnar Chartered Loss Adjuster / Consultant

 

Brent established the Agri Business Consulting Group in 2009 and was Managing Director until mid-2023, when management of the company transitioned to Calem and David.  With 46 years in the profession, Brent is the most experienced agri specialist loss adjuster in the country, with extensive knowledge of crop loss adjustment and the agricultural insurance sector.  He has travelled to many parts of the world undertaking loss investigations, claim adjustments, risk surveys, delivering targeted training programs and speaking at conferences.   

Brent’s continuing commitment to the future development and success of the Agri Business Consulting Group is reflected in his ongoing role as a specialist consultant to the company and his oversight of the company’s international assignments, and involvement in Forestry and Liability matters.
